British-Swiss singer/songwriter and performer “Melyz” has recently released her latest single “Bad Together”. The song is a wild blend of smooth yet dark electronic/pop crossover that depicts a deeply toxic — and sometimes destructive — scenario about relationships. It is about accepting and embracing our darker side when things get too passionate and intense; about celebrating how unhinged we can become when we fall too deeply in love.
Coming to the music of the track, Melyz weaves this tale of passionate relationships using a whole rainbow of sonic textures. From ambient pop sounds with low-tempo house music to Melyz’s smart and surprising melodic vocals, “Don’t Play” is indeed a beautiful mess of a song. The whole arrangement of the song provides dark and catchy Pop/Electro vibes along with an astonishing lyrical masterpiece and is surely a perfect track for the people.
Do listen to this incredible song and give a thumbs up to “Melyz’s” awesome work. Song link below:
Melyz, formerly known as Mélanie René, was chosen to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song contest back in 2015. The contest secured her nearly 2 million views on YouTube for her debut single “Time to Shine”. Empowered by that success, she veered towards a more electro-pop route and changed her name to best reflect her artistry.
In early 2019, Melyz released her debut EP, Don’t Tell On Us which gained 100k streams, along with some stellar press looks which propelled her as an up-and-coming electro-pop artist to keep an eye on.
