Today on Guitaa Center stage we have a very special and talented artist, Nishit Gajjar. He is a Creative Producer, Writer, Music Composer, Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming Practitioner, Certified Counselor, Certified Hypnotherapist and Certified Traditional Usui Reiki Master based in Los Angeles, California. His work is often recognized for its distinctive outlook and unrivaled execution. 

  • Hello Nishit Introduce yourself to our audience, what genre of music do you consider your work to be?

I am a Creative Producer and Electronic Music Composer based in Los Angeles. I mostly create Ambient, Post Rock, and New Age Meditation Music.

  • What and who were your early passions and influences, What inspires you to make music?

My early influences were The Doors, Velvet Underground, Brian Eno, Mogwai and Sigur Ros.

  • Tell us about that one memorable performance and favorite venue which you still wish to happen again?

One of the most memorable performance was when I performed with my band in front of 10K Audience. It was nostalgia. I wish to perform in Hollywood Bowl in L.A. Hopefully soon…(winks winks)

  • Any funny Story of a fuck up during your performance where you handled that situation like nothing happened?

In almost every concert it happened! I handled every other incorrect chord progression by my lead guitarist and oh its vice versa too.

  • If you could collaborate with any musicians(dead/alive), who would you collaborate with and why?

I would like to perform with George Harrison and Bon Iver.

  • Any Tips to keep the balance between professional and music life? 

Understand the difference between hobby, passion and professional aspirations. Usually we all mix it up.

  • What has been your biggest challenge as a Musician? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

My biggest challenge has been to create something new every time without any influence from already created sound patches. Building a consistent sound library with unique sounds of my own.

  • What Tools and techniques you use to improve your singing/instrumental playing?

Practice practice and practice. Sometimes learning advance music theory helps too.

  • What type of Gadgets and instruments do you use while practicing? And, Do you have any specific name of your instrument?

I mostly use my basic rig of Bass Guitar, Midi Controller, Synths, Amps and Sound processor. Nothing fancy.

  • Would you like to share a testimonial for Guitaa? If Yes, Why do you love Guitaa? 

Guitaa has been amazing for a long time and I find the resources available here pretty useful for every musician.

  • What advice would you have for someone wanting to become an Artist?
