Now, KillaSloth is set to drop two dirty new singles starting with ‘Blessings’, which is releasing this July 2020 on all digital streaming platforms.

Our team got the chance to speak with the prolific artist who was frank enough to answer our questions about his music journey. So, Let’s get to know about this amazing artist, about his challenges as a musician, and many more.

  • Introduce yourself to our audience, what genre of music do you consider your work to be?

My name is Giorgio Michel. My stage name is KillaSloth. I produce basshouse and dubstep.

  • What and who were your early passions and influences, What inspires you to make music?

I grew up listening to house music and other electronic dance music when I was young but I knew it was my passion when I started djing at flyer parties and underground venues and at age 15 I was being able to share my music to the world and connect with people and it was the best feeling ever.

  • Tell us about that one memorable performance and favorite venue which you still wish to happen again?

My first show was my favorite show I ever played. It was at a small venue with about 150 people attending just seeing my friends and many other people having such a good time is something I’ll never forget and after that show I got booked at other amazing venues and night clubs.

  • Any funny Story of a fuck up during your performance where you handled that situation like nothing happened.

One time, while I was djing at a night club with a friend my USB got disconnect from the cdjs making it go on a loop. It took about 10 min to realize what was going on. The funny part was everyone thought it was part of the set so I just went along with it till I was able to fix the situation.

  • If you could collaborate with any musicians dead/alive, who would you collaborate with and why?

I would love to collab with every artist I look up to. They all have such unique styles and sound designs but if I had to pick one it would be Skrillex. He inspired me way before I ever became and music producer or Dj.

  • Any Tips to keep the balance between professional and music life?

Just Be yourself. there’s times I’m professional when meeting other artist or mangers but when it comes to my music life I’m just myself I produce my music the way I want and DJ the way I like. It’s a way better feeling then trying to be someone you are not.

  • What has been your biggest challenge as a Musician? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?

I always feel like my music isn’t ready to be released or there’s something more I need to do but it’s just me overthinking things that helps me overcome this by showing my music to close friends and other producers for advice and feedback.

  • What Tools and techniques you use to improve your singing/instrumental playing?

I make my own edits and use the filters on the cdjs To bring more of a unique style to my sets.

  • What type of Gadgets and instruments do you use while practicing?

I use Ableton for making music and serum For sound design as well as stock plugins on Ableton while performing I use cdj nexus 2000.

  • What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

Don’t give up. The only person that can really stop you is yourself if you want it to get it.
